cutting out when hot

2.9,12v, will run for 15/20 mins temp gauge gets to mid range then it cuts out and will not start till its cooled down seams like a sensor is shutting it down but witout any test equipmemt im lost

hi ricky
you seem to have a few problems. you need to list them all in one post so we can try and figure it out. the 12 valve engine is the same from the granada, so g&s online is a good place to ask as well.

hi thanks for all your help, it still cuts out and will not restart for 5/6 hours then runs ok , ive just taken it to a fmd and left it with them and i will let you know the costly outcome . ps does anybody know why the granada and scorpio site is down

re g&s site. they might have hit their monthly bandwith limit  some sites have a limit to keep cost down. our site uses something like 18gb a month with 1,000,000 hits+ a month, making it the #1 site for scorpio's on the web!  cost's a fortune to run, hence the donation button at the top right of the screen.
