slightly raised temperature

has any-one had the following temp showing a degree or two more than halfway then after a couple of day,s some water loss already have a new radiator and apressure test shows all o.k. 2.9 24v cosworth

Your car shouldn't lose any water - if it is then you have a leak somewhere - probably caused by the heat causing things to expand which is not showing up in the cold pressure test. Did you replace the thermostat when the rad was changed? Some garages don't change them because they are either too difficult to get at or they don't know where it is located.

nope haven,t touched it and the pressure test,s been done hot and cold with the motor running its strange will do the stat a.s.a.p thanks.............. the symptoms described in the fault pages on the stat causing the trouble seems to match i just hope i havent lost another radiator core at £120.00 fingersxxxx

no ive had the balloned radiator symptom a couple of months ago and did not change the stat out i agree with the suspect theorie of the stat slugging the core with a steam shock it also explains the water loss with no leaks showing on a hot&cold pressure test *latest,it has taken out the radiator core that was fitted a couple of months ago i,m also going to check the heater matrix to be safe so much for thermostats
