Morning all, right, any ideas what could cause a lack of spark, but not record any fault codes? Current plan is to check, as per Eric's suggestions on t'other post, the DIS module and connections, and the ED module. Any ideas welcome

... and surely the fuel pump fuse (number 42, next to battery, 15 amp) should have 12 volts when the ignition is on, or at least when cranking? Because ours doesn't, is this right? It gives 12 volts for half a second when the ignition is switched on then drops to about 0.1 volts, even when cranking. Any thoughts? Thanks

Pump may not kick in untill oil pressure light goes out, the initial burst is just to start with.

Thanks Martin. Also the EDIS (where all the leads plug into) seems to be getting 12v successfully but it not putting out a spark to the plugs. Is this something that gives trouble? Cheers

it needs to be triggered, in the old days thats what the points did in the distributer, if you havea test light, put one end on the pos bat terminal, probe the wires at the coil pack, you should get a 'flash' when cranking if all is ok, a problem with the crank sensor / wiring is still favorite though, loom in the 'V' is another to check, they can crack & short, if poss check crank sensor signal back to the ECU, while that is out you can check the power feeds & earth paths to it.

I believe the fuel pump relay also needs an input spark signal so this could be why your pump supply is not working and would point to a loss of the signal
