Central Locking Problem

Can anyone help with a problem I have with the central locking. Everthing does as it's meant to do whenever I lock the car either with the key or the remote but when I attempt to unlock it, the central locking motors continue to cycle on then off again for a number of times and then I can only gain access into the car from through the pax door where I reach over and pull the driver's side inner door release handle to stop the cycling. Once I do this everything is fine and has returned to normal. I seem to remember seeing a similiar post regarding this (and the cure) but am unable to find it. Thanks

hi there does this happen every time? even when using the key in the passenger door? sounds like one of the switches inside the door. this might help you a bit http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/doorlockrep.htm
