Hi everyone, I am new to this site. It’s a great place to get info on the ultima, I am amazed at it.
I just bought an ultima TDi estate 'Feb 95' m reg, 181000 miles and sweet as.... its great, but seems abit gutless, I can hear the whistle, but not much go there, it’ll do 100mph easy, but takes an age to get there, I was viewing the link

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/replacemap.htm

Because I thought the map sensor connections need cleaning, but it looks different to my car, there is no map sensor unit near the front drivers side inner wing on my car, is mine a different model?
Also I cannot find the MAF unit anywhere.....any ideas? Has anyone got some pics of the engine bay?
Also I have cooooooooooooollllddd air bbbrrrrrrrrr, no heat from vents, Im gonna try the matrix flush (RED PILL OR BLUE MMMmmmm, FOLLOW THE RABBIT ECT....Sorry I digress).
Great car, I drive all over the country with my band, it's perfect, comfy and smooth.
Also the cruise doesnt work, the light comes on and the cable is attat=ched, maybe the motor? Can it be cleaned up?
Just bought a Kenwood cd/tuner, but after reading about this amp thats behind the glove box i was thinking  NOOOOOOOOOOOO...
I'l just have to get round it some how.
Anyhow hello again and speak to YA'l soon

Just tried to reset my SATC, ive got error code 09 so I thought id reset everything and cure my cold air only curfufle, my flaps dont move, you cant heat anything, so i tried to reset the SATC

Procedure
1. Run the engine.
2. Turn the blower switch and the air distribution switch as far left as they will go.
3. Simultaneously press the buttons for "Recirculated Air" and "A/C" for about 10 seconds until the code"00" appears on the passenger side LCD.
4. Select code "50" using the passenger side temperature control switch.
5. Press the "Recirculated Air" button until the code "00" appears.
6. Simultaneously press the buttons for "Recirculated Air" and "A/C" for about 10 seconds until the code "00" appears on the passenger side LCD. After this step the initialisation process is complete and the adjustment is finished.

I get the 50 flashing on the left but it wont let me change it, i am depressed

HELP PLEASE

hi there

just to recap....

you followed the instructions and got a '09' error code in the l/h/s display? you then used the cooler button and got the '50' code. at that stage, you then hold in both buttons (rec & a/c) together until '00' appears and flashes. wait until '--' appears. that should be it reset.

as for the '09' code, i would guess at the heater flap on the l/h/s Undecided
