estate rear shockers

i need to relace both rear shocks on my ultimar estate there are the auto levelling ones i have told by a ex ford fitter that i can use saloon ones if i change the srings as well. I do not carry heavy loads so if any body has done this or knows if poss could you leet me know p.s i can obtain saloon shockers ok (3 in a local breakers yard) in kent thanks for any advised. JW

hi there not sure it's that straight forward can't remember seeing the mounting for saloon shocks on the the rear wishbone. even getting the old shocks off is a bit of a nightmare. what's wrong with your old ones?
