Hello. My name is Helge, and I am from Norway. Today I bougth a 95 Scorpio 2.0. It has 150.000 km on the clock, a full sevice history and it is in a really good condition. And I bought it really cheap! I have only noticed one thing. When breaking from 60-70 kmph and above, the steering wheel vibrates. The vibration can also be felt in the pedal. It feels like the brake discs unbalanced. Are new brake discs the solution? Thanks.

Chesk the front Brake discs for warping , Quite easy to see with the wheels off and turning the disc. Also check the copndition of the front suspension bushes, Worn bushes can also cause vibration problems.

I had a strong vibration when braking, felt on steering wheel and on brake pedal, After changeing the front discs brakes and pads it was smooth like silk. Also the wishbene bushes are a bit shot but it still drives nicely. Cheers

Yep, the discs will be the culprit , even if the outside side of the discs look shiny and rust free you can be sure the inboard side will be rust pitted and uneven ( take a look from under the front of the car with a strong torch). Easy to replace with a decent set costing only 40 GBP.
