front side lights stay on

my scorpio has been stood for a couple of months ive just put it back on the road knowing it needed a new battery,everything seemed ok but not to be when ive switched of and parked up the front side lights stay on any body got any idea,s

Also check the headlight switch is ok - they can give problems

Yeah, it needs the battery and fusebox covers in place. And those headlight switches are quite often playing up. The contacts can burn out on the back.

had same problem on one of mine, pulled my hair out for quite a while, switch, strip / re build both fuse boxes, dash, ect, finally noticed they went off when the ash tray was moved, the illumination wire terminal had broken off & was resting on the power to the fag lighter. the most simple things.
