Remote Locking all to thingy.

Heres a strange one for you.
My remote will not lock or unlock the doors, unless I unlock the tailgate first.
I also noticed the other day, that I cannot reprogram my other remote with the tailgate closed - its as though the tailgate lock is blocking it.
Any Ideas ?
