Caliper replacement scorpio 97

Hi, I wonder how to replace the rear left caliper on a station scorpio 97. Has the wire for the handbrake to be slacked or released before removal?

I think you will find that there is a clip to release the cable first and then disconnect from the spring.Correct me if Im wrong?
