Hi, thanks for the link. On step 3 it says remove the 4 caps and 4 screws. That is the problem because mine seem to be metal pins and not screws . Has any body got any idea how to remove the 4 pins. Thanks Gary

If Geoff W is right then the only way is to drill the rivet out. The fixing should be 4 phillips screws beneath the plastic finishing caps. Sometimes the two fixings shown at each end are also a type of rivet device. I have replaced mine with self tappers.

Hi, Thanks to you all for your help.I took the caps off again and on having a good close look the previous owner had stuck the caps down with a type of glue/filler.After scraping away at this there was the head of a philips screw .So it looks like i know what i wiil be doing this weekend. Gary
