Is it normal for the A/C to come on automatically when starting the engine? I seem to this every time, however if I switch off the engine for a short time it doesn't happen. Is this the sign of a weak battery perhaps?

The A/C on the uLtima has a default setting of ON if however you turn it OFF manually the system remembers that setting for 1 hour so if you start the car within the hour then the A/C will be OFF .....its on this page http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/handbook054.gif
