Cruise buttons and horn not working

Hey up, Just bought a 24v Ultima, and it's top. Except the cruise and horn don't work. I'm guessing the fact they're all in the one place may mean the problems are linked - any ideas? Possibly just a loose connection inside the steering wheel? All suggestions gratefully received before I start 'exploring' and inadvertantly explode an airbag module in my face... Al

Disconnect the battery for a good ten minutes before you try that Fuse or bad earth? might be a bad connection in the wheel somewhere

The fuses seem to be independent - there's only a relay listed for the cruise, horn is fuse 5. Need to make sure I have the radio code somewhere before I disconnect the battery too... Is there a way of finding it other than Ford Dealer? It's the standard early radio cassette with changer controls fitted (single DIN)

Had similar problem. Replaced the Clockspring - all problems solved. I have written a small missive on the subject in the 'Advice to others' section. It is a simple and cheap fix.
