Retro Fitting an engine & Sorting emissions

Just a bit of advise regarding people who fit 24v cosworth engines into sierras kitcars etc, When they DE-CAT them and unplug the 02 sensors how do they get round this with the magement system? Surely they would never get through a MOT test with just decatting and unplugging the sensors.

de-cat them but leave the sensors inline for the fuel trim

If the car can pass the emission test without a cat then it doesn't have to have one. However, as fordcos says, leave the O2 sensors connected (they're physically separate from the cats anyway) - otherwise the ECU will report errors. Darren
