Engine switches off while driving

Hi every one
can anyone help with this one.
I've got a for scorpio on a a 1991. 2.9ltr
Automatic
the car switches of randomly while i am driving. i have to put the car into neutrol and restart the engine with the ignition key.
so far i have replaced the ignition switch and the idling vavle
can anyone give me ideas on what to check next

Same engine as the 12V 2.9i Scorpio - albeit the only electrics on the auto 'box is a kickdown solenoid and it probably won't have a cat, O2 sensor or EGR/evap system.

fuel cut of switch in the boot ...had similar problem with my old granada....pressed the switch a few times and never happened again ....just a suggestion

Yeah fuel cut off in boot, fuel pump relay, wiring to fuel pump & does it have a imobliser?
All things that it sounds like it could be.
