exhaust touches cross member?

recently had some work done on my 2.9 cosworth.
i noticed afterwards it made a rumble sound and sounded like something vibrating in the engine.
looked underneath, and i see that both downpipes are touching a smallish crossmember spar , surely they should not? will this not transfer all the vibration into the chassis from engine?
