Yesterday morning, I started up my car (24v) and it started to whistle to me the whistle rose and fell with the engine revs. After it was warm, it was fine.

Why is it doing this? It is just to annoy me? BECAUSE IT'S WORKING  Angry

It's the big black plastic box that fits between the air trunking at the front of the engine.
Don't worry...I recently had to ask this question as well Wink

Hi Ya,

Just another thought - My 24v started whistling last week too. Fault was traced to a fractured T-piece below the plenum that connects each bank to the crankcase breathers. This did also cause slight hunting at idle too.

Worth a look!

It's driving me mad!!!!

Thankfully, I live in the middle of nowhere, so not many people get to hear it. It is very embarrassing.  Embarassed

I have convinced a collegue to help me this afternoon.

Maybe we could start a scorpio choir. Grin

My 2.3 plays a lovely little whistling tune, but only in reverse at tickover.

I have never found the cause in 2 years, but it always bugs me when I slip it into reverse.

God these cars are wierd.

Cheers

Speaking of weird...my car has fixed itself. I got up this morning to try and fix it but all was well. Maybe it was the 165 mile commute from Guildford?
