Vibration when idling

When car is warm and i'm in neutral the car vibrates, not greatly but is noticeable. I've cleaned the MAF and put a new(Secondhand) IACV on and the idle revs are ok. What could cause this vibration? When i look at engine you can see it moving around. I know the engine is supposed to be able to move a little under load but surely it should be hardly moving when not under load.

i'll send the girlfriend over lol

seriously, i've never looked at scorp engine mounts, do they have rubber 'grommets' to soak up vibration? if so i would think these could fail/perish over the years..

Agree Sounds sensible. Where are the mounts and how do I check them? Never had any dealings with these before on any car. I'm assuming this wont be as straight forward as i'd like it to be

I don't (yet) know about the Scorpio in particular, but generally-

The engine plus gearbox will be on three rubber mountings, one either side of the engine and one maybe two at the gearbox. They fit between a bracket on the engine and the chassis and should be easy to find.

Just look for splitting or or indications of wear. Replacing them is usually a matter of undoing the fixings on one side, jacking up the engine and slotting a new one in.  The work of a couple of hours at the most.

Either shake the engine and watch them or slowly jack the engine up a little and try it
