Disabling dipping passenger mirror

Hi, as some of you might be aware i've had no end of grief with my passenger mirror and its memory function. Question is can i disable the memory/dipping on reverse function but still keep electric movement/heating. As the lower spec versions only have one plug and the ultima has 2 is it just as simple as unplugging one of the plugs? If so which one black or white? Don't want to strip door down AGAIN! just to try, god knows i've had that door apart more times than i care to remember so if someone knows it'll save my sanity.
Cheers, Guy.

Mine didn't self dip when I first got the car, turned out to be a plug disconnected - fairly sure it was the white one, the control on the drivers door still worked, don't know whether it affected the heater though.

Cheers Dave, i'll disconnect the white one and see how it goes. Oh well time to strip the door down yet again. Be worth it though if my mirror just stays still and in the same place.

Just to let you all know, if you disconnect the black plug you keep full electronic control of passenger mirror however it wont dip on reverse or move when you lock/unlock the car(Memory function disabled. SUCCESS! I can now drive the car without having to move the mirror every time i reverse or unlock the car. Grin

Might the problem be wear or slack linkages in the mirror itself which is causing it not to go to the precise positions it should - rather than it receiving the wrong memory sent positions?

Harry, have changed the mirror over for a "Working" spare, also replaced the door module on passengers and drivers side. The problem is a wiring fault. Need to get some time to buzz out the black plug to the passenger module if fault however lies between passenger module and drivers module i'm screwed as the wiring goes into the main loom! Which i'm not about to try and change.
