Hi, further to my problems i have discussed a while ago i have tried most things to get my heater blower to work normally. It is still intermittent but i have discovered something very weird. If i "Toot" my horn the heater fan will then decide to work. Dont laugh...oh you are... well its true but rather than trying to diagnose the problem myself i thought id give you all something to joke about. Fault...heater motor will not work unless i disconnect the wires to the hbc and reconnect them, works ok then for a while but now found that using the hooter makes it work also. Remedy... I need some headache pills.

You haven't got any evidence of water in the fusebox have you?

If no water in the fuseboxex you could check all the fuses that are seated ok, all the relays fitted ok, also check the big connector on the main fusebox, it sometimes can lose it's grip and do "funny stuff". I also think that you have tried the air-con reset a few times... PS: i remebered something, trace the wires from the blower motor and the wires from the de-ice thermistor, i found out that loom damage also apears in that zone, doing short-circuits and other nasty things.

I have got the same problem intermittent heater blower, always been like it, drives me mad, surely if i switch it on to clear the window it should?? read your post the other day about Tootong horn. Went to pick my daughter up from work tooted her and lo and behold heater came on, it went off 5 mins later, so I tooted and it came back on. Very freaky, can't be bothered to do anymore on car, thinking of getting a new one, this is my third scorpio, perhaps time for a change.
