Not sure how it comes off as mine was fixed by one fixing, Not much room to get at it from the top either, As far as I remember there is a hole that the airbag would fit in approx 3" X 5" that you can just get to the amp through. I only disconnected the wires so that I could re-wire to a new head unit and I manage to do this through the glovebox, airbag and radio apertures and that was difficult enough. There is bound to be someone that has removed the amp on here that can give you a better idea.

I have no output on my rear speakers, hence the question. I have a spare amp from a J-reg sierra Ghia that I assume will be the same type, so at least I know what to hopefully possibly expect. TT

No way from the airbag panel if the airbag was not fitted - tried it and bent mine as it was screwed from inside the crash panel. Found this out when I got a new panel from a donor car! Even if you do get in there the airbag holder is in the way as well - you can get to the conectors from behind the glove box - drop it right out and look up, there should be another panel that pops out which gives you a small amount of access (see my write up on the 2007 to 7000 radios!) HTH Dave

Should be the flat part of the void over the glove box! Laying on your back helps! If only Snap-on did an owls neck for humans! Dave
