24V Sparkplugs??

What sparkplugs are people using in their cosworths? The reason I ask is that my car failed its emissions again and the MOT tester thinks the plugs are simply not up to the job. I got a second opinion from some one I know who is a Ford mechanic. He said that Fords own Motorcraft plugs, are made to a higher standard than other off the shelf versions. However the main reason is that motorcraft tailor make plugs for certain ford engines, such as cosworths etc. He has had plenty of fords with running problems, all which have been cured with the correct plugs. I have ordered the ford ones at a whopping tenner each plus VAT. I hope this also cures mine!

Yeah when the mechanic changed ours they were roughly that, they need to be pretty good for the 24v but should last well.

h I have always used NGK since my racing days, you wont get better. I got 'em in my 24v and its performance and economy are spot on. Idles super smooth too, you can stand a 50p on top of the engine when its idling and it wont fall over. Regards, Dave

Dont go to Halfords unless you want the wrong ones at double the price Any decent Motor Factor will get them even if they dont stock them. London and SE use SC Motor Factors they are excellent and do stock NGK. Dave

Apparently these platininum plugs in the 24v are good for 60k (fortune smiling), at these prices it's just as well
