Ohhh, there's plenty of us had that before. Pin-pointing it is not so easy, it could be one (or more) of a few things. First thing to check and try would be the front stabilizer bar (anti-roll bar) bushes. They're the cheapest & easiest to do. Then maybe look at the front suspension wishbones. They have a large rubber bush at the back of them which is cheap and easy to replace. But, if the swivel/knuckle joint at the front of them has gone, you're in trouble. That part is not replaceable and the whole wishbone would need replacing. Not only would that cost you nearly 100 quid a side, but there's currently none available from Ford. Almost forgot to say, there's also some drop link bars which could be duff. They can be bought for about £30 a pair. Here's a couple of links you should look at. And while you're there, there's plenty more too. Just click on the buttons that you should see down the left of the page. Front Wishbones Front Link Rods

Movement, basicly First, try to wiggle the anti roll bar as hard as you can. If the ball joint gives in, then it's shot, then try to see if you can get any movement in the roll bar bushes. There shouldn't be any. Lastly, try and see if you can get the wishbone to move sideways (this should also not be possible)

Stabiliser Bar Info: HERE This is the easiest to do, and hopefully will be what your noise is. The bushes are under the two bolts as in FIG 4. There's one bush on each side, and they split in the middle making them easy to replace. If these are missing or damaged, then you can replace them WITHOUT removing the link assemblies (as stated in fig 3). It's about a 35/45 minute job. PLEASE don't work under the car unless you have it properly supported!!
