Blown 2007 Rim?

After trying to fix my rear speaker outputs a week and a bit ago neither my CD nor Stalk worked.
On saturday I reseated all the multiplugs I had touched, and the RIM multiplug as well.
CD now works but the Stalk is still dead.
Anyone had this?
Is the only purpose of the RIM to control the stalk? I unplugged it and everything else still worked fine..
Anyone know if the radio still works if Fuse F8 is out as this powers the RIM too..
