key fob

key fob have stoped working all of a sudden , have replaced battries , have also done programming the remote  and thats not working either , some times the car wont do the bleep sound , the fob is only about 9 months old
 
is there any thing else to check?

sounds weird,but give this a go,on both sides of the batteries,and all the metal contacts,clean them with a rubber (eraser).....then re-assemble the remote using as little finger contact as possible..

thanks craig will give it a go.
 
tonight hubby managed to reprograme the fob and it worked again for a short while but fob have stoped working again  seem s like something is going out of sync but i cant think y Undecided

Well, if you leave the fob in your pocket, the button may be pushed a number of times inadvertently, and that can bring it out of sync.  
 
Iirc, it takes about 10(?) pushes to make the fob loose sync.

it is posible they are kept either in pocket or handbag , and with all the extra shoping due to christmas that the buttons are getting pressed more often. will keep a good eye on fob tomorrow to make sure buttons dont get pressed in case it was all it was , be nice if it is .
