Got my fault codes read today at Janspeed using a krypton reader. Came back with the following. Lambda Probe High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2. DPFE Post-Sens hose off/blocked. EGR Malfunction CCT. No P numbers though Anyone got any clues as to where Im looking ? This is the same car that kept blowing the EGR vac pipes off the bottom of the pressure transducer doo-hicky when you floored it.

Anyone tell me where the wide open throttle relay is found on a 2.0 16v ? Also, anyone got a DPFE sensor going cheap ?

If you read THIS the text says that the throttle position sensor B8 tells the PCM the position of the throttle ie:wide open etc. If so it is located on the throttle body itself BUT to remove it you have to remove the throttle body as the screws are not accessible otherwise.

hi there have you checked the cat? a blocked exhaust would blow the pipes off. with a dodgy lambda sensor, you could be overfueling and the cat could be gone. hth

at idle it revs fine though right up to redline. If I floor it and it gets to 5000rpm and stays there, when i ease off it will continue up to 6000rpm not that I like being at these engine speeds, but when overtaking you look a thingy when you get alongside and just sit there with nothing more to go.

hi there re-reading the posts, how about 1. fit new lambda (check wiring first) 2. check for air leak (egr?) 3. fuel pressure regulator hth btw, still think there's something wrong on the exhaust side as the pipes would only come off under pressure.

I'm sure there is a mention on the site about the pipes being blown off. Can't locate that but This article by Eric R might help.

hi there sorry, just seen your post in parts wanted. i thought it was the pre cat sensor that was playing up. the post cat (no.2) sensor only monitors the cats pereformance, so shouldn't cause any running issues. hth

im gutted - if it is the cat then i think its game over. Ive thrown a steering rack at it in the last 6 months, its been vandalised and scratched on every panel except the roof. but I just love driving it.

Hiya, Ive got a cossie with a blown engine nr Telford. Exhaust system looks good, both cats were done 25,000 miles ago. I even have a couple of brand new sensors up here in edinburgh. I think DJWerkz was interested, but if not, and you can pick up/strip off, you can have the complete exhaust system for £50, sensors £20 each + p&p (i paid £40 odd). That should sort the exhaust out for you, for £100 Let me know,
