i have just acquired a standard fit six disk multi changer out of a m reg ultima to put in my r reg ultima witch was fitted with a cd changer and a ford 5000 unit this was removed along with the lead for the changer and a 4000 unit fitted in its place before i got the car will the cd changer fit i have the control lead

yes ,but you will have to bucher the wiring coz you have a 98 scorpio and your radio wiring is part of your loom,,and the 94 model you had the radio out of is the same as the mk3s ,

dont attempt to play with the wireing unless you know what you are doing, i would get the radio replaced. there are loads on ebay for under £20. it will save you a lot of grief.
