Hi all, spent a few months preparing 2.3 saloon for MOT, filled tank, stink of petrol, leaking like a sieve, ordered tank (£95.00 BEEVERS), had to cut off heads to strap bolts to drop tank (worry about getting bolts out later)...question fuel pipes do not come out from sender unit and for that matter cannot remove sender...aware ford has special tool for sender but hoping some one can advise..advise greatly appreciatted.

Yeah, just squeeze the two tabs on each side of the the inlet and outlet pipes on the sender unit and pull them straight up and out. I have the same trouble with one of the tank strap bolts, one of them won't unscrew , let me know how you get on removing yours
