hi there

i'm bit confused here. Huh

are you saying that the lead is coming off the coil pack at the front of the engine or off the sparkplug under the cover?  Undecided

thanks for your time it was my no 1 lead comming out of the engine have found that my spark plug had broke up into pieces this coupled with a slight leak on head covers is causing presure that is pushing lead out because it now has no plug shaft to hang on to. i couldnt even see the no2 plug for the oil in it. I guess to begin with the first signs were from the oil comming out and traveling to the manifold then burnning! anyway is there anything i should know about changing the seal on the head cover are they hard to get or do i clean and put sealent around. does the inlet have a seal as it looks as if this will need to come off. again thanks for your time!

hi there

i have the 2.3 16v engine, so i'm not sure how to go about it. by the looks of it, the whole inlet manifold need to be removed. after that, i don't know.

maybe a 24v owner will know more.

the inlet has to come off, becarefull when removing it cuz at the rear under the center piece is a small t connector for the vacuume hoses, i think every one who has removed the inlets have broke it, and as it's not stocked by ford any more, a trip to a camping/gas shop is often needed to buy something simmlar

the rockers are just help on by the bolts that are visable. may need a tap to break the seal though
