Gearbox oil leaking

Hi
First sorry 4 my english . Second my car is scorpio ultima 2,9 12v 1995 automatic gearbox . Week ago when came back from airport lost my gearbox oil . Poured into new one 2 have a look what happend. Realised  Wink my oil leaking from pipe wich going from top of gearbox to engine bay and endinig nothing . My question is where that pipe should be conected or maybe shouldn't ? Please cant live without my scorpio help !!! . Forgotten say live in Dewsbury nearly Leeds

it sounds like it's coming out the over-flow pipe. i don't really know much about this gearbox (the 12v has a slightly different type to the rest of the range).
 
some of our members have the 12v and might know more. they normally check the forum in the morning. check back then.

This pipe should be connected to the radiator!
There are two pipes between the gearbox and radiator for ATF cooling. They are metal with a rubber section to take up movement between engine/gearbox and chassis.

we're talking about two different pipe/locations here. i'm talking about the overflow/vent pipe which is at the top of the gearbox housing, seen here on page 8. this might hang down the inner wing.
 
you're refering to the gearbox cooling pipes at the side of the box (page 5).
 
just to clear that up.

talking now 2 ford scorpio ultima 2.9 12 v with automatic gearbox owners . Can you chek in your cars how ending overflow gearbox pipe please ? where is conected ?
