Hi all I have a 98 24v Cosworth with 140k on it. The head gasket as gone I have been told and I am looking at the best part of £900 to fix it. The question is , is it worth repairing as I now have another car, or would I be better off selling the parts off it. Many thanks

it dosnt cost that much, maybe about £300 to £400, ive found people who give a high price dont know what they are doing so try and put you off by giving a stupid price

No, but give Bill Field (SaveTheNight) a call at Powercraft, I am sure he could have it collected from you, best man for the job by far. If you really would like to consider doing it yourself contact howiedintheplace, he often has head gaskets kicking around, I know, I got one from him when I had a head off last year
