hi can anyone tell me if this would cause a problem i.e a misfire at certain revs or all the time?? http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a137/scottystar/DSC00088-1.jpg it looks like the heat has made the plastic brittle and the multiplug connector has started to break away u can see the terminals inside. any ideas thanks scott

Yes...a faulty coil pack can certainly cause a misfire that only notices under load & not on tickover

I didn't say that the coil was definately defective, just that this kind of thing can cause a misfire If the connection isn't broken then you could try a dab of superglue to join the two surfaces back together & see if it improves matters

Mine worked fine with both coil packs cracked there, although I have replaced them now - just in case. Dave
