I know that its probably impossible to say, but i have this horrid tinny rattle from under the bonnet that occurs all the time, i only really notice it though when i have something next to me, like when i go through the dartford tunnel.. Ive checked under the bonnet and nothing is loose, it does however seem to be comming from the drivers side under the bonnet somewhere.. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem and was surprised to find that it was the link rod (the top fitting was loose). See http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/linkrods.htm It took a while to diagnose because it just didn't make the knocking noise that I had expected from such a component. I firmly believed that it was coming from the engine compartment. You can check it by grabbing hold of it and give a good rock about, see if there's any movement in the fittings or joints.
