Quick question to the unfortunate ones that have had this... What are the symptoms, is it severe enought to stall the engine once warm and cause it not to restart?

Stuart, they only usually crack around the t-stat housing I don't think the main part of the manifold actually gets hot enough to crack & IMO, if it was cracked, then it probably wouldn't run very well at all, hot or cold If you pull off the double pipes on top of the manifold when it's ticking over nicely, you'll see what I mean

Question are the plastic 2.3 manifolds interchangeable with the 2.0 alloy manifold? i understand the eletrical connections would need modifying but I have an alloy manifold which I could swap .

I know the heads arent too different and can be altered fairly easily to fit either engine but not sure if the manifolds are or someone would haver done it by now surely. They will obviously fit each other but i dont know if they will work properly on the wrong engine.

When mine went is jetted hot water/steam onto the TPS and shot it in the end. It started easy enough initially but would occasionally stall. The stalling got worse and worse and starting (after a stall) harder and harder until in the end it wouldn't start at all until i changed the TPS. Ian
