Battle of the bulge ( Radiator )

Been so busy over the last few months I have hardly had time to get on here... And the scorpio has been going ok generaly... But walking out the house today I spotted a damp patch under the passenger front. A bit of inspection shows traces of liquid half way down the front passenger side seam of the rad tank... So it looks like another failig 24V rad... Now I have a Granada 24V rad currently in place on my 24V sierra project. I recon it should fit. Has anyone tried. I can swap the sierra over to a 2.9 12V rad ... I only realy need it to last a couple of monts till the MOT is out and I have to decide what course of further action to take.. TT

Is it a Scorpio 12v rad you have? that will fit. I have a 2.3 rad in mine, changed the coolant tank to the 2.3 one as it doesnt have the pipe to the top of the rad like the 24v one.

I changed my 24v rad about 6 weeks ago for a 24v rad off a scrapper. This one has sprung a leak now.!!!! I still have the 2.3 rad from the car a scrapped, but i dont have the expansion bottle anymore. Looks like i had better find one quick. Ian

Good luck When i changed mine, it was bulging top and bottom and leaking at the top. This one i fitten had a bit of a bulge at the bottom only. Guess where the leak is? (Correct, the bottom) Ian
