Hi I have a scorp 2lt 16v Ultima est 96 reg,  yesterday I noticed my coolant warning light was staying on for about 1 min after driving off from a cold start, checked the coolant and its  fully topped up, not sure where else to look  Huh

Have you checked to see if the sensor is loose. I think from memory they are connected on the side of the water bottle.

Well I just went out to the car, took another look, couldn't see the sensor  Shocked but I did look at the level again, it was halfway between the min and max marks, so I thought I'll top it up, started the car, light goes out now!!!

You can sometimes get the float sticking which is inside the bottle itself. The sensor only indicates where the float level is. The sensor fits into the bottom of the bottle and is a twist/lock fitment
