door mirror gone mad

bought an r reg cosworth about 2 months age and when i put it in reverse it tilts down and i put back in drive it go's where it wants to any advise would be welcome.

We've not got to the bottom of this one yet.
Some have replaced the mirror and it has cured the problem, some have fitted a good mirror known to work and it behaves in exactly the same way.
It could be an internal mirror problem or possibly the wiring or whatever controls it.
Its a trial and error one i'm afraid

Has anybody tried to cure it by disconnecting the battery for half an hour or so, it could be that the stored settings could have gone higledipoop.. . worth a try anyway....

We've tried all that Pete, I think it was Cossie_guy who had a problem and really looked into it in depth last year sometime but never found the answer, will have a look for the old thread
