Help with Keys

I have just written off my 12 valve Ultima and replaced it with a P Reg, 1997 2.3 Ultima, which only has one black key.
I still have the red key from the written off 12 valve but presume this is now of no use.
As I understand it I can either source a new Red key for the new car (at what price and where from?), or find a lock smith that can clone a new key from my black one.
I would really appreciate some advice on which is the best way to go........I need two extra keys.

As yu state get a local locksmith to make you a NEW set or go to FMD and pay a rather heavy price .
