went to start my scorp yesterday after not using it for a few days and it wont start; there doesnt seem to be any fuel flow? i tried the hand plunger on the filter for a couple of minutes but there was no resistance. the tank has diesel in it, all the pipes appear connected properly, any ideas?

Phil, not being familiar with diesels does it have a fuel filter or some sort of device which could have got water in it which had frozen thus blocking the flow??.

thats an idea simmo, bt its too mild at the mo, the return line lettig air in coud be the cause, i've got diff/cv troubles as well and i spose if it runs near the diff etc it might've got damaged.

the hand plunger has a rubber membrane in it, they can dry out and let air in the fuel lines, in this case there is also no resistance when you prime it. other causes: fuel lines fuel pickup in the fuel tank dieselpump on the engine failures electrical but i dont know in how far these engines are electronic corntrolled. try tot start as follow: disconect the fuel feed line from the pump on the engine, connect te hose to a bottle or something with diesel in it, if it starts your pump is ok. greetz
