Those readings suggest your alternator has failed (again), though it might also be worth checking the drive belt if you have not already done so. I assume the thick cable between alternator and battery is OK and its terminals tight?

sound like your alternator like other guys have said check leads connection ,drive belts, auto sparky you trust should be able to test it for you ......or if you have a meter should be making about 13-14 volts at your battery with the motor running

obviously you have a meter missed the first post should be 13+ with motor running at battery sounds like your alternator is discharging 11.2v not good check your earth connections

| About 8 years ago I paid £80 for a recon alternator for a Mondeo, so £100 is about the right price for a recon. A brand new one from FMD would probably cost about double that I would imagine......doesn't really matter now though, because it's obviously out of warantee After only 9000 miles the coils should still be fine & the brushes shouldn't have worn down, so it's most probably a fault with the voltage regulator. This can be replaced without having to renew the whole alternator, but where you'd get a new regulator from ?....I don't know ..... If you do find somewhere that sells voltage regulators, then let me know, 'cos I need one for my old alternator

JC. Try THIS firm found via Google. Mike. Also THIS article may interest you, particularly the bit about the glowing light which features here occasionally. This may be even more so.
