No Hazard Lights (mot fail)

Hello again!, Took the scorp for mot this week. Failed on leeking steering rack, ABS light on, Hazard lights inop and handbrake on drivers side. So far with the help of my extremely kind boss sourcing parts for me, I've solved all of it apart from the hazard lights. The indicators work without a problem but the hazards have a mind of there own (sometimes they'll work, sometimees they wont). Please help me keep another scorp on the road! I don't want to get rid of it just because of this, as the wife and daughter love the old beast and so far there hasn't been a problem that i or this awesome forum can't solve. Come on people don't let this beat us!!

I took the plug off the back of the stalk assembly and couldn't find a permanent live. Surely there should be one for the hazards?
