Headlights how to increase the power

My headlights are to put it bluntly cr*p. Is there any way I can increase the power? Also is there a way I can access the part of this site that members have written articles on such subjects as 'headlights' and 'driving abroad' etc.

I think THIS is what you are looking for re driving on the continent. There have been a number of posts about different bulbs or HID modifications but these are not in the same location but no doubt someone will post a link soon.

the hid mod is the best way for getting more light out of your scorpio
what condition are you headlight lenses in? chipped or weatherd lenses will restrict the light and make it seem duller

try that first before going off and buying new blubs
oh and dont buy the 100w bulbs, they'll ment the cars wiring unless you wire them to a seperate relay

Hi - To my opinion the best solution to increase your road safety (lightwise) is to install a Xenon conversion kit. I did that to my Granny -93 and now that the Granny beast is sold and a -98 Scorps Diesel is standing in the yard, I bought a conversion kit for it as well. I have been extremely satisfied.
I do not know how it will pass the MOT in UK, but in Finland if the car is registered before 10/98 and it has lampwashers and automatic levelling system, it should be just fine. Mine is a STW, but it lacks the washer, so for the time being it has not officially been approved. I assure you it won't dazzle the oncoming traffic any more than the "original Xenon lights".
Very good indeed and also looks really pretty as well.
Oh, and in my -96 24V Scorps the lights were really bad due to it's very, very bad Battery side fusebox. It was rotten!

so long as you have the headlamps checked/ adjusted after fitting it should be fine, however the headlamp leveling system can be fitted easliy, the wireing is already there, you'll just need the dual dial light switch, and the leveling motors and maybe a fuse

it will be tooked away some where, but have a good look under the headlamp unit and follow the looms back, may be easier to take the headlamp out, its only 3 bolts, just super glue the plastic adjusting nut together so you can fit the light back exactly as it came out
