Brake Hoses for Ultima 1998 12v

How much is one expected to pay to have a nearside and offside brake hose replaced and fitted. Failed MOT on this. Any help thanks.

hi there part is about £15 iirc. add about 1 hours labour (£50), could be £65 or so. hth

Easy DIY if you at all handy with the spanners .. but any REPUTABLE garage should not charge a fortune.. Hasve BOTH side done if you get it done professionally much better. . I am sure there are members on here who will inform you of the costs involved, but I would have thought in the region of £30/50 .

Consider having braided stainless hoses too - People like Rally Design can make up lengths/ ends to your requirements - and these have the big advantage of better brake feel (no swell) and lifetime guarantee
