Hi .... is it possible to add such a thing as a audible alarm?? If so is there one available that is fairly simple to install (and fairly in-expensive.). Cheers d.x.t (2ltr '96 16v)

take the battery out and check if there is a horn behind it. if yes, then you have an original alarm and you can try to extend it... or you can plug in a full after market alarm system which isn't that easy... :/ in my case it ended with a Clifford authorized garage doing that for me.

WAIT! You want the sound to come out when locking/unlocking from the remote?! If you've got the alarm horn behind the battery you can plug into it. If not you can plug into an ordinary car horn Basically you'll need to connect the alarm/central locking wires that are for the indicators with the the horn of your choice. This will help you to locate the appropriate wires; http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=di splay;num=1240697246

amigafan2003 I don't believe that there is any voltage going through the indicator wires in the central locking ECU plug when not using the remote or when using indicators while turning, so there shouldn't be a problem. dxt use a multimeter to check if you get any voltage on the indicator wires by the central locking ECU, while indicating. If amigafan is right and you do [I don't think so] then I'll give you a work-around for that By the way I think I remember you saying that you're using an after market alarm system, not the original one...?
