Hi all On my 2.5 diesel, I want to remove the injector's to have them tested and possibly re-set but cannot seem to see how to release the wire to the 1st injector from its connection lower down on the side of the engine. It must be easy - but a slight hint would help Thanks Robin

don't take the wire off, if you don't have a proper socket then get a 12 pointed one (forget the size) i had to grind a taper around the out side edge of the socket to make it fit the head around the injector, the cable will sit in one of the 12 cut-outs in the socket

I have the correct socket 28mm with the cut-out in it - but the wire has to be disconnected to be able to remove the injector and take it away. The cut-out is to enable the disconnected cable end to be threaded through it. 3 injectors removed - waiting for one Robin

Matt I removed the 4 fuel lines and was able to see the connector and was then able to disconnect the lead from the multiplug - it is a slide fit onto a steel plate. All injectors have been cleaned, re-set and refitted - thanks for your replies Robin
