car cuts out

After fitting a new battery and tightening up the loose wire on the alternator which was the problem all along the car starts fine,runs fine but then now and again just cuts out, you take it out of gears and it starts striaght away.It dont do it all the time, any suggestions.

Check the engine wiring loom for damage, especially around the coil packs area & also where it goes down under the t-stat housing

hi there
how long have you driven the car after changing the battery? it might be still re-learning it's running values in the ECU.
i'd check the loom as said above and maybe clean the idle by valve on the throttle boby/manifold.
