TD Oil Warning Light on below 1500 revs?

On my 1996 P Scorpio Ghia TD, the Oil Warning Light comes on when the revs are below 1500. Engine sounds quite rough aswell. They is plenty oil in, and Oil and Filter was changed last week.

Best screw a test gauge into the switch hole to check for low pressure,if there is more pressure than the switch is calibrated for,the switch is faulty,if genuinely low the engine or oil pump or both are possibly worn out.

i had that problem when i had a tdi scorpio m8 its the oil switch m8 mine eventually started leaking and was replaced problem solved
