dial moves around during first 15 minutes ..ive removed the big connector under p/s pump cleaned pins switch cleaner still no better. there are x2 sensors one for dial x1 for ecu i guess. if i do dashboard check when problem is occurring the temp numbers are erratic flickering between 140-200 when dial/gauge settles down that number settles down. so does that dashboard check use the dial sensor or the ecu bacause if they both are erratic maybe its the dash....also which sensor does what ? any advice greatly appreciated john

John, Have a read of THIS page. IIRC the two sensors sit side by side and the gauge one only has one wire to it.

My temp.sender was broken when i bought the car for about a year ago. So i went and got at new one and the problem was gone. But now it has returned... does the temp.sender has a limited one year lifespan?

| I'd say....In the four years I've had my 2.3, I've had as many new senders
