The ABS warning light remains on

Ford Scorpio -96 DOCH 2.016V
After replaceabled the front brake blocks at left/right side, the ABS warning light start to light - and it remains on when engine is running ! 
Is it possible to measure the signal from the wheel-sensors with a mulitmeter ? 
Any ideas

If it stays on after you have had a run in the car then it is most likely that you have disturbed the connections under the front wing where the ABS cable is clipped . There is a plug there which can be detached and cleaned and then recovered in water pfroof grease. The ABS Brake fault finder is HERE
