Hi Folks.
Two problems.
1/ I have two keys for my 97 Ultima saloon, a red and a black. The black one turned invisable months ago and I have been using the red master. Black has suddenly reappeared but will now not open the boot, (which only opens with keys).
2/ My screen washers have stopped working. I recently had a regulator fitted to the alternator and I seem to recall a post on this stating that the wiring from the pump can be disturbed when the bottom engine cover has been removed. Any help very welcome.

Regarding the second question....check that when the bottom cover was refitted, that it hasn't squashed the washer pipe against the subframe. I had this happen once, after my Scorp had come back from the garage

Often the case one key will work in a lock and not another, it's the way they wear out
Boot only opens with keys ~ so won't when you push the button in, while car is unlocked?
This come up before didn't it guys, as the button merely sends a signal to the PCM to operate the boot lock ? So a dodgy wire?
